State, Groups to Promote South Dakota’s Bioscience Industry at BIO Conference

PIERRE, S.D. –   Gov. Dennis Daugaard will accompany a South Dakota delegation to San Diego later this month to promote South Dakota’s growing bioscience industry at the BIO International Conference. The conference begins on Tuesday, June 24, and goes until Thursday, June 26.

“I’m looking forward to the BIO Conference in San Diego this year because we’ll get to showcase why South Dakota was ranked CNBC’s Top State for Business,” said Gov. Daugaard. “We have excellent research facilities, a strong workforce and a premier business climate. I expect we’ll have a very productive week.”

The South Dakota BIO conference delegation, which will be exhibiting at booth #2827, includes representatives from these entities:

“In past years we’ve attended the BIO conference, it’s always been very productive,” said Joni Johnson, executive director of the South Dakota Biotech Association. “I hope our delegation will find this year to be no different. I’m looking forward to meeting with prospects from last year and making new contacts this year.”
